A Scholar-Practitioner and System Change Builder

After serving since 2021 in various academic and administrative capacities at the Bridges Graduate School of Cognitive Diversity in Education (BGS) —including Dean of the Graduate Certificate Program and Director of the Doctoral Internship Program—Dr. Lim is now focusing her time on social-impact and systems-change work through her nonprofit, Quark Collaboration Institute Inc. She continues to mentor doctoral students and participate in Masters’ and Doctoral capstone/disserations at BGS. Her work at Quark focuses on translating research into practice to promote human dignity and wellbeing across the lifespan.

Leadership and Service

Dr. Lim is an international speaker, author, and advocate for complex learners. She is deeply involved in advancing gifted and twice-exceptional education, mental health, and leadership development.


She actively volunteers and currently serves on several nonprofit boards, including:

  • Past President, Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENGifted.org)

  • Events Director & Admissions Committee, PGRetreat.org

  • Parent Editorial & Content Advisory Board, National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC)

  • UCLA Anderson Student Council for Inclusive Excellence Alumni Advisory

Academic and Professional Journey

Dr. Lim earned her Ph.D. in Human Development Psychology from Boston University and holds Graduate Academic Certificates in Mind, Brain, and Education (Johns Hopkins University) and Twice-Exceptional Education (Bridges Graduate School).
 

She also holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, specializing in Ethical and Inclusive Leadership—bringing together her background in psychology, education, and business to support sustainable social innovation.

Personal Inspiration

Parenting her profoundly gifted and twice-exceptional son and her radically accelerated profoundly gifted daughter continues to inspire her lifelong commitment to understanding human complexity and cultivating inclusive, thriving ecosystems where people feel seen, valued, and supported.
